The unique new optical system found only in the Hotchkiss® Otoscope triple condenses the light of the bulb's filament, producing brightness of illumination many times greater than that found in other Otoscopes.
This model which is often referred to as the "Gun Handle Type Otoscope" carries its power supply (2 Alkaline "AA" Cells) in the clip on the handle. The handle is easily removed for replacement of batteries when necessary.
- In the Hotchkiss® Otoscope each speculum is 60% larger than the preceding one.
- This gives greater selection of tip sizes in the smaller range, where size is more critical.
- Light emanates from the speculum tip along the line of vision. Illuminated area and viewed area are one and the same.
